Drywall is going up this week in the basement and we hope to be finished developing the basement before the end of August.

Fishing

Hiking

The mountains surrounding Radium Hot Springs are home to thousands of kilometers of trails for hiking and mountain biking. For example, the Floe Lake trail leads to a mountain lake where pieces of glacier float near the stunning backdrop of a sheer rock wall. A 2 hour hike leads to Stanley Glacier. With its hanging valley this hanging glacier must be seen.

Bird Watching in the Wetlands

Take a canoe or kayak down the Columbia River from Radium Hot Springs to Invermere and view the wetlands that are home to more than 200 species of birds.

Enjoy the Parks in the Radium Area

Radium Hot Springs and the Windermere Valley have 5 Provincial Parks in the area. Radium is located on the West border of Kootenay National Park.

B.C.’s provincial parks in the area include:

  • Canal Flats, at the mighty Columbia River’s start
  • Whiteswan Lake, with its Lussier (natural) Hot Springs and views
  • James Chabot, with beach relaxation and great picnic areas at the edge of Lake Windermere
  • Bugaboo will take your breath away with soaring mountain peaks
  • Mt. Assiniboine is a glory to behold by itself, not to mention the area around it.
